Details
Initially known as the New Britain Trust Building, The Plaza as it is now known is a historic 1960’s design by Emery Roth & Sons , a world-class architecture firm responsible for a significant number of well-known and well-respected NYC office buildings. The Plaza is built out of precast concrete panels at a time before Emery Roth’s more well-known contemporaries were doing it.
Purchased and gut renovated by the Acmat Corporation in 1990 and maintained as their headquarters until 2011, the Plaza is one of 2- Class A Office properties in New Britain, CT.
HJ Development (HJD), a Manhattan based company acquired the property in 2011. Henry Justin, the Principal of HJD, is an owner and operator of over 15 commercial properties in the Manhattan area. The Plaza is his first purchase outside of Manhattan.
